It is a very big decision to pick up your family and move continents. There are many voids of information that you have to navigate and hurdles to leap over. My family and I are so grateful to have been able to have Craig and his awesome staff as our guides. They do such an excellent job at making you feel like family and creating a transition process that is painless. They make the system work better. In many ways they are the chiropractors to our transition. They remove the subluxations of immigration and give you the tools to be successful in practice. I feel fortunate to have worked with such a great group of people and would refer anyone to them.

Craig is a great asset to have in your corner when you are practicing. He plays the role of mentor very well. He helps you to help yourself. His role is one of support and positivity, not of the heavy hand. I appreciate the fact that he helps you meet your goals and be successful in life. He leads by example because he has been there and done it. With his help I have been able move out of my comfort zone and push myself to new levels.

I have to say that the Lifestyle group is not just the right choice it is the only choice. You are going to find a great support staff and mentor as well as network of other chiropractors to draw experience and information from. My wife Jen and I are Canadian and South African born, USA trained Chiropractors, who had a vision to move to and make Australia our home.

The two of us were with Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia Pty Ltd since its inception in June 2003 and were the first Chiropractors to come to Australia and join the team. The help and guidance of Craig and his team have helped us be the Chiropractors we want to be; acquire our permanent Australian residency (and citizenship soon) and successfully purchase our practice from Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia Pty Ltd.

Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia takes the confusion out of moving to a new country and working in a practice by giving you a rock solid foundation with practice systems and philosophy. Craig provides guidance and motivation to be who you want to be, and hopefully that is one of a successful chiropractor serving your patients and community.

Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia has grown over the years we have known it, and an organization like this doesn't grow unless the intent is true and one has a purpose to help. Even though our Discover Chiropractic Mackay team is no longer part of the Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia family, we still have a strong bond of love and support.

Australia is a fantastic place to live and practice, and many of our goals and dreams have definitely been fulfilled thanks to Craig and his wonderful team.

I have enjoyed every minute of my experience living and working in Australia, and I can’t imagine having done it with a company better than LCA. There have been challenges, but you will face those anywhere.

Having been with Craig from LCA’s infancy I can honestly say that the majority of the kinks that come with building a large and successful company like LCA have been worked out in the past 3 years of its growth, and you will find no one with a greater heart, vision and integrity to work with than Craig. He has a vast amount of knowledge of the chiropractic profession as well as life experiences, and he is more than willing to share those thoughts with any/all of his team members.

As all of the practices are located distal to head office in Mackay, to be successful you must be comfortable working as a Team Member, but also on your own. All of Craig’s successful associates are confident, motivated, self-starting, wellness-minded individuals.

The lack of proximity to head office can be overwhelming at first, especially for newer graduates; however, you have a choice to let that be a positive or a negative challenge/experience. Despite the distance, Craig will make every possible effort to be available to you, if not in person, than via telephone or email, as little or as much as you’d like.

All of LCA’s practices have similar procedures and systems, so there is always help to be found in contacting your colleagues at other Centres or their CA’s. The company has made great strides in providing manuals to assist both the DC’s and CA’s in the absence of a “boss” (which he hates being referred to as). This is an Associate position like no other; meaning you will not be “underfoot” a senior doctor (even if you are going into a practice with a second DC), nor will you have someone constantly looking over your shoulder. The opportunity is yours for the making.

Craig’s personal investment in each of his Associates via mandatory weekly coaching sessions (teleconference) is a wealth of knowledge and opportunity with one intent only…to help you to recognize your own innate success potential and to excel, both professionally and personally. No topic is off-limits and all “tasks” are asked with the purpose of expanding your mind and helping you to grow, so that you can set and achieve your practice and life goals/ambitions.

Does LCA provide you with the appropriate tools to open and run a business on your own? In a word: YES! But you have to be willing to do the hard yards and ask the tough questions. Nothing in life worth having is given to you. There will be highs and there will be lows, it’s how you choose to respond and learn from each that defines your success.

Your primary focus fresh of out school, into a new country and a new practice should be in setting a solid foundation from which you can build upon. Yes you have to be able to live and provide for yourself and your family as well, but as Dr. Jim said, “Develop a compassion to serve which is greater than your compulsion to survive…success is a by-product of services rendered.” One thing I found very comforting when first starting with LCA was its reliance and integration of The Parker Principles into each Centre.

As with any career in any country, the harder you work the greater the rewards. Your remuneration will be ample to live and experience Australia comfortably.

I have been an associate chiropractor with Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia for 3 years. I graduated from chiropractic college in Iowa and was in private practice for 10 years in Alberta, Canada before moving to Australia.

The move over here with my family was made less stressful as the Lifestyle team helped us arrange necessary documents for work and contact numbers for traveling over here.

Working with LCA has enabled me to concentrate on patients, as the training of staff and the daily running of the business are all taken care of by the team in Mackay. My name is Kathy Jackson and I've been a practicing chiropractor in Canada since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1993. In 2003, my husband Don, who is also a chiropractor, and I got the itch to make a big change in our environment.

After investigating many parts of the world, we came upon an opportunity to come to Australia that seemed like a great fit for our family. Moving from Canada to Australia with 3 small children could have been a nightmare, but the team at LCA, especially Craig and Justine helped us out in too many ways to mention. My experience practicing with Lifestyle Chiropractic Australia was also my first experience practicing chiropractic. I graduated from chiropractic school thinking that I knew it all. My first day in practice, I realized that they could fill a book with what I didn't know!
